Views of Ben Lomond from Aberfoyle, a bustling village in rural west Stirlingshire, hint at the spectacular scenery to be found beyond, and at the Heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Along B829, a necklace of lochs, crystal clear rivers - this is the cradle of the River Forth, tumbling streams, verdant forests and windswept moorland offer a rich variety of habitats for a wealth flora and fauna.

Enjoy outdoor pursuits - walking, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, golf, fishing, wildlife watching, history and genealogy, myths and legends and much more. In winter, a myriad of brilliant stars light up dark nights.
Wrap up well and search the skies for the Plough, the North Star, planets, satellites and more heavenly bodies!

Throughout the year a variety of events organised by Aberfoyle Traders' Association, Forestry Commission Scotland and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Rangers highlight the wealth of opportunities to have a great time in Aberfoyle and Strathard.

Stay in a Hotel, Inn, B&B, Self Catering accommodation or a camping and caravan site. Pubs and restaurants cater for every taste.
